Welcome to Morocco, a place where two seas meet and present us with enchanting beaches, rivers, gorges and a surrounding mountain range at the peak of natural beauty.
The serenity is felt as you step foot into a Moroccan culture of literature, Arabian influenced music and a delicious cuisine which holds together the simplicity of Berber traditions.
Morocco is a breathtaking escape from your everyday routines with large cities boasting a diverse heritage and the landscape so beautifully dotted by the Ouzoud Falls, Middle Atlas Mountains and Old Medina in the North. The opportunity to relax and unwind on a well deserved break is provided on gorgeous beaches and peaceful evenings at dinner under the stars.
This singles adventure is specially designed to create a warm environment of people who want to make the most of a stunning location. Enrich your knowledge and tastes for the most memorable holiday with a group of solo travellers.
Meet your guide who will kindly escort you to the hotel where your time to relax on holiday begins! At dinner you can meet fellow guests with a traditional Moroccan meal in a local restaurant and share the excitement of the next few days!
Prepare for a fun ride to the High Atlas in a four-by-four which will present stunning views along the winding roads of the Tizi n Tichka pass. We follow this route past its highest point of over 2000 meters down to Ouarzazate, visiting the fortified city of Ait Benhaddou and its high walled Kasbah. Lunch at a restaurant gives time to reflect with fellow single travellers on your first few moments in Morocco before we set off on a visit to the Atlas Film Studios, giving us a glimpse of the North African film industry. The evening is reserved for rest and relaxation by the pool with a cocktail in hand or a calming walk into the Kasbah Tauorirt, whichever you please.
M’Hamid is a village in the Sahara which we will first visit in the morning for its ideal temperatures. The road ends as we approach the desert and begin an off-road adventure through the Oasis in the Draa Valley, stopping for lunch at Zagora. Here we have desert culture to explore with a museum-kasbah, Koranic library and a pottery exhibiting some fascinating pieces of history. We have the extraordinary chance to adopt a camel ride later today before another memorable experience living the Moroccan lifestyle with a meal in the desert and local entertainment. We retire to our shared bivouac, an improvised campsite, which will bring fond memories and a wonderful group spirit together.
We awake fresh from a spectacular night under the star filled skies and drive to the magical vistas and sand dunes of Erg Chigaga. Immerse yourself in Berber traditions with lunch in the Sacred Oasis and then unwind with the locals as they carry out their daily routines around you. We spend tonight in the tranquility of surrounding dunes at Erg Chigaga and our bivouac. Sand boarding will bring laughter before the night comes to a close.
Get up early and enjoy another spot of sand boarding before we depart on an incredible off-road venture to Tazenakht, a brilliant carpet-weaving town. Stunning colours and patterns come together in this area with vast open areas and interesting buildings we pass on the way to your hotel in Talaouine. Enjoy a few drinks with your new travel partners and share your most favoured moments thus far!
Travel over the Tizi n Test Mountain pass on a journey to Marrakech for simply unbeatable views and your first experiences of the Ochre City. Berber traditions come to life in this city, where you will dine in a restaurant with exquisite food, drinks and the company of your new friends.
Visit the grandest Berber market in the whole of Morocco and haggle for a souvenir before standing back for a moment and seeing the mystical Medina in front of you, bustling with traders, animals and vibrant colours. After lunch you are free to admire the Marrakech gardens or organise a trip to the local steam room where people come every week to cleanse themselves and talk with friends. The local Fantasia may provide the setting for our last night as a group with delicious food and entertainment on offer. Another option could present views over the main square in Marrakech.
(Please Note: the final meal and entertainment is not included in the package)
Our journey through Morocco comes to an end, but not before exchanging contact details and saying farewell to the land which brought some astonishing memories. Accompany the group to the airport and make plans for another singles holiday perhaps next year!
