Forming a rough triangle on the map, this singles holiday is labeled golden for much more than the sights and sounds of popular locations but also for its sprawling bazaars and independent trades. The atmosphere is busy and exciting, accommodating tourists with a friendly charm.

The Golden Triangle Tour for singles will take expectations beyond your wildest dreams to a paradise land, absorbing beautiful cultures and sights.

Golden Triangle Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – Welcome to Delhi

Meet your host, transfer to the hotel and settle into the essence of India. Afternoon, sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi arranged.

Notice the contrast between the energetic, narrow streets of the Moghul City and large open boulevards of New Delhi. Visit the black marble memorial to Mahatma Ghandi by the river Yamuna and pass by the Jama Masjid overlooking the moonlight square of Chandni Chowk

Day 2 – Delhi to Agra

Today we visit the world famous Taj Mahal. As one of India’s most visited sites, this marble mausoleum takes your breath away with ease. A masterpiece of Indian art, built by Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal, his third wife. Not stopping there, your singles holiday tour is enriched by more stunning architecture at the Agra Fort. This walled city is home to decorated palaces and notable gates of Delhi and Lahore.

Day 3 – Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur

Today you head towards Jaipur, through the deserted yet beautiful city of Fatehpur Sikri for a discovery of graceful buildings in the ‘Ghost City’ including Panch Mahal Palace.

Day 4 – Jaipur

An elephant or jeep ride up to the entrance, certainly something to remember on your tour, welcomes a morning visit to the Amber Fort. Delve into the rich styles of Hindu and Rajput overlooking the Maota Lake for an extraordinary view into opulent palaces.

Later, an opportunity to take photographs at the Hawa Mahal or ‘Palace of the Winds’ will provide stunning views and memories to take home. This fascinating structure is built to symbolise the crown of Hindu God Krishna and its façade is a patchwork of latticed windows, red and pink sandstone.

Day 5 & 6 – Jodhpur

We travel by road after breakfast to Jodhpur and rest at the hotel on day 6. It is an opportunity to take in the landscape, daily life and prepare yourself for the coming days. Share conversation with your fellow singles and take some time to rest.

The following afternoon a city tour captures the impressive 5km structure of Mehrangarh Fort, built high above Jodhpur with views out over the blue-tinted houses below. One of our favourite sights on this singles holiday is the earthy tones of Jodhpur complimented by these delicately coloured villages.

Later today you will visit a cluster of royal cenotaphs in finely crafted white marble named the Jaswant Thada, which is surrounded by beautiful gardens and lake before a trip to the Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum

Day 7 – Udaipur

A relaxing drive through the Aravalli Range, known locally as the Mewat Hills, to visit an important Jain temple in stunning marble. Arriving in the ‘City of Sunrise’ you will enjoy a leisurely boat ride on Lake Pichola with views of palaces build upon two islands. Capturing the buildings lit up by the daytime sun is one of the most tranquil images to enjoy on your Golden Triangle singles tour.

Day 8 – Udaipur

You will discover the imposing City Palace after breakfast, with fascinating influences of Rajput and the Mughul Empire, for incredible views of the city from the upper terraces with more architectural marvels and spectacular gardens to see later today.

Day 9 – Udaipur to Pushkar

Visit the picturesque and sacred Pushkar Lake before an evening tour of one of only a few Brahma Temples in the world. Approach the temple via a number of marble steps and marvel at the decorative entrance gates. A stroll through the local bazaar will ignite your imagination and is a perfect end to the day in Pushkar.

Day 10 – Pushkar – Ajmer – Train to Delhi

A sightseeing tour of Ajmer; an oasis of culture wrapped in the green hills and historic home to many dynasties. In the afternoon, we take a first class train to New Delhi, soaking up the views and culture along the way. This experience provides a real taste of India toward the end of your singles tour. Reminisce and share your favourite moments with the group.

Day 11 – Delhi

Day at leisure. Free for shopping and sightseeing.

Day 12 – Delhi

Say farewell to new friends and a country rich in character, transferring to Delhi airport for your homeward journey.

Golden Triangle Tour Highlights

Raj Ghat

The cremation site and memorial to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, is a black marble statue located by the River Yamuna. Guests should remove their footwear prior to entry, adding to a close to nature feeling. If you have the opportunity take a trip to Jawaharlal Nehru’s samadhi, just north of the Raj Ghat, an attractive park known as the forest of peace.

Taj Mahal

To put simply, this marble complex structure is the finest example of Mughal architecture ever created and remains one of the world’s most popular sight-seeing destinations. Stand in awe, capture photographs and walk through stunning gardens all built over a period of 20 years in dedication to Mughal Emporer Shah Jahan’s third wife. Our singles holidays all have spectacular sights and opportunities to get a deep understanding of far-away cultures and this is definitely one of the highlights.

Fatehpur Sikri

Situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh and founded by Mughal Emperor Akbar the city was capital of the empire until 1585. Visiting Sikri today will bring to mind a ghost city, with ruins of the bazaars and vacant imperial buildings still standing. The palace is built using traditional methods and influences in local red-sandstone and is a stunning composition of form and colour, surrounded by walls and a lake to one side.

More notable points of interest in the city include the Jama Masjid, Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal and Tomb of Salim Chishti.

Amber Fort

Overlooking the gardens and lake below, the Amer Fort is a structure divided into four with intricately detailed courtyards, private quarters and entrance gates that impress. Early morning, the fort glows golden between lush greenery, mountain background and the blue sky while in the evening, the structure’s warm hue is a picture you will not forget.

Elephant Ride

An unmissable experience, sure to provide a thrill and peaceful memories. Climb on the back of one of the nation’s beloved elephants for a ride along a narrow road up to the Sun Gate of Amber Fort. Jeep rides are also available but remember that it’s not every day the opportunity to ride an elephant passes by.

Pichola Lake and Palaces

Surrounded by incredible views and other islands built upon Lake Pichola, the Lake Palace complex is a series of architectural wonders in their own right. Developed over hundreds of years, marble temples, family mansions and glorious arch bridges have been added to the islands, while one has become a sanctuary for travelling birds. Good enough to be used in the Bond film ‘Octopussy’ and definitely one of the many highlights of India’s fantastic Golden Triangle.
