Taking a singles holiday to the Northern Lights is definitely an experience not to be missed. Finnish Lapland is one of the most coveted holiday destinations, with the opportunity to see the spectacular Aurora Borealis being top on most people’s lists. Astronomers have predicted a peak in the solar cycle, which means that now is the ideal time to visit. The Northern Lights are expected to be brighter over the next couple of years, than they have been in many decades. Our holiday will take you to Finish Lapland, the most Northerly portion of Finland, it is the ideal place to view the Northern Lights, far away from the urban sky glow that could steal this visual delight from you. But there is much more to Finland than the sensational luminescent sky displays.
The area is exquisite in its natural beauty, with vast expanses of pine forest stretching out as far as the eye can see. Tunturi (small rounded fells) crop up between the densely packed trees and of course the stark climactic conditions add an extra element of beauty. It is sparsely populated, making it the ideal place if you are after some tranquillity and serenity. Though of course as you’ll be travelling with a group, you won’t be short of company. Of course, Lapland is famed for being the home of Santa Claus and this fairytale element is something that really suits the beautiful scenery and magical feel of this unique travel destination.
The Harriniva Hotel *** is built close to the tranquil Muonio river, and has safari-style rooms that are built for comfort. You can expect beautiful Scandivanian style simplicity, with clean lines and minimalist décor.
Harriniva Hotel has 64 comfortable safari style rooms, all with private facilities., TV and some of the rooms also contain a sauna.
Each room is finished with wooden panels from floor to ceiling, private saunas making it very much in keeping with the area.
