Every day along the Nile will provide different perspectives from your cabin window and right under your feet. Famous for its pyramids and great Sphinx at Giza, the Egyptian landscape by the banks of the Nile will unravel many more magnificent structures such as the Temple of Philae, Temple of Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon and Luxor Museum to provide the finer details of Egyptian history.
These excursions are generally taken and enjoyed best early in the morning or late evening to avoid the midday sun.
Due to the number of cruise boats that sail on the Nile there are sometimes delays which normally occur at locks. Your boat may dock alongside other cruise ships causing obscured views whilst the ships engines must be kept running.
It is expected to tip in Egypt. For your convenience this may can be collected at the beginning of the cruise and is usually £20 per person for the entire week.
Please note that sailing times and itineraries may be subject to change, for operational reasons. Cruise boats on The Nile are not suitable for the less mobile. On the Nile cruises English speaking guides will join you and give information on visits to the historic sites but they may not be on board on the cruise boat itself.
Fascinate yourself with the mystery of ancient Egypt on this luxury Nile Cruise(MS Semiramis). Our journey takes us across the river with magical sights of the colourful Aswan City and wonders of the Valley of the Kings in Luxor.
Fly to Hurghada for an overnight stay at a 5 star hotel (Desert Rose) on all Inclusive basis. Following day after breakfast you are transferred to Luxor by road approximately 3 hours 30 minutes.
Luxor - Edfu. Relax with views across the Theban Necropolis opposite the city of Thebes before descending on the Valley of the Kings where you will be surrounded by vast tombs that laid rest to the rulers of Egypt. Following this, we continue our cruise to Edfu.
Edfu Aswan. We visit the historic Edfu Temple site and marvel at its glory. Built between 237 and 57 BC, this temple is dedicated to Horus the falcon God and has inscriptions covering walls which depict an ageold battle between Horus and Seth. Back on the ship we will travel to Aswan.
Aswan. Enjoy the sights of the High Dam and Temple for the Egyptian Goddess of Magic, Isis. We will also visit the unfinished Obelisk site for an open air experience in this archaeological site. The white marble structure of Aga Khans burial site is placed high above The Nile, overlooking Aswan, and gives brilliant views for us passing on the cruise.
Aswan Kom Ombo. Explore the ancient city of Swenet, Aswan, celebrated for its stone quarries which provided much of Egypt with the materials for its grand temples and other structures. With free time to discover market stalls and enjoy the warm air, you can join in with views of two enormous rock temples of Abu Simbel or simply relax with other single travellers. Later, we depart Aswan and head toward Kom Ombo.
Kom Ombo Luxor. Before returning to Luxor we have the chance to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, a fascinating double temple built during the Ptolemaic dynasty and dedicated to the Gods of fertility and the sky.
Incredible sights across the East Bank of Luxor are a joy to behold, including the enormous complex of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Adjacent to these are the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens necropolis on the West Bank.
You will be transferred by road to Hurghada. Fly home with newfound friends and an extraordinary memory of what was left behind by ancient civilisations.

Are you a dating agency?
No, we do not design our holiday packages to have any aspect of introduction or dating services. We offer holidays purely for single travellers who want to go it alone but do not want to spend their holiday on their own. Good friends do certainly result from our holidays. What is smart price?
Smart price is an early booking discount and to take advantage of smart price you should book early and pay in full at the time of booking.
How much deposit is required to book the holiday?
You can secure your booking by paying £100 deposit for UK holidays, £200 for European holidays & £500 for Worldwide holidays anytime up to 10 weeks prior to departure.
How do I know if my booking has been confirmed?
When booking a holiday on-line or over phone, you will receive a confirmation in 24 hours with a booking reference by e mail. Please print the page or write down the booking reference number when you receive it. You will also receive an e-mail confirming the receipt of your payment.
When do I have to pay for my holiday in full?
The balance is required no later than 10 weeks before departure. If you are due to travel within 10 weeks of making the booking, payment is required in full when you book your holiday.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment can be made by debit or credit card when you book. We accept MasterCard, American Express, Visa, Switch, and Delta.
Please note a 2% handling fee will be charged on MasterCard, Visa and 3% on Amex. All Debit cards, Delta, Visa Debit, Master Debit, Solo, Electron cards are subject to no surcharge.
Please note a minimum card charge of £5 is applicable on all credit card payments for the amount of £1 to £250.
If I have a special request?
If you have a special request this must be made at the time of booking over the telephone or online booking. Please be advised certain request are subject to supplement for e.g: Pre bookable seats, Extra legroom seats, Pool / Sea view rooms. Special dietary request must be notified at the time of booking and vegetarian diet, gluten free diet can be catered on all our holidays. All special request must be notified at the time of booking and appropriate supplement if applicable must be paid to guarantee the service.
Will you send me a reminder when I have to pay the balance?
We do not issue reminders for the balance. Your holiday confirmation advice you the date for balance payment and serves as your final invoice.
Can I fly from my local airport?
To make your travel easier, we endeavour if available to offer direct flights to a selection of our destinations at a supplement. Or we can arrange regional connection to major airports.
When will I receive my tickets?
Your Electronic tickets and final travel details will be issued approximately 7-10 days prior to departure.

If there is a mistake in my confirmation, what should I do?
Telephone 0844 414 4010 quoting your booking reference number immediately on receipt of email invoice. Once confirmed and invoiced, any changes by you to your details or holiday arrangements will incur an administration fee of £50.
Can I cancel my holiday?
Yes you can. Please advise us by telephone immediately and also in writing. If you cancel you will be liable to pay cancellation fees detailed in our Booking Conditions.
Do I have to share a bedroom?
No, we recognise that people have the right to travel without the burden of additional supplement costs, which is why Solitair make no single supplement charges and we do not ask or expect you to share a room with one of your companions unless you decide to.
Do you charge a single room supplement?
No. Our prices are based on single occupnacy.
What is Share & Save option
Certain holidays we offer Share & Save option with same gender and similar age group to reduce the cost of the holiday.
Can two single friends travel together?
Although the vast majority of our customers travel alone, some people who have recently become alone or solo and are not ready to go alone do travel with a friend.
Can Solitair organise my car parking and overnight stay at the airport?
Yes just give us a call and we will be pleased to assist you with your arrangements.
Can I pre-book my seats on the aircraft?
Yes, you can pre book your seats on the aircraft for a supplement, please advise at the time of booking.
When are flight times confirmed?
If you contact our Customer Services approximately 7 – 10 days before the departure date, we should be able to confirm final flight times.
Why do you need my insurance and next of kin/friends details?
If you have taken your own insurance we ask for details so that in the event of an emergency, we can deal with any problems. Also to assist you if required to contact your next of kin or friend.
