Day 1 - Arrive at Kuala Lumpur
Upon arrival at the airport you will be greeted by a friendly local representative, and taken to your first hotel. You will have chance to relax and enjoy the hotel’s surroundings in preparation for the week ahead.
Day 2 - Tour of Kuala Lumpur
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you’ll be taken on a tour of the “Garden City of Lights.” You’ll get chance to see both the old and the new city, the glistening skyscrapers and the old colonial buildings.
Tour highlights will include Petronas Twin Towers (KLCC), the new King’s Palace, the National Monument and Cenotaph, Independence Square, The Lake Gardens (Taman Tasik Perdana), the National Mosque, back to Independence Square to see the tallest flagpole in the world, the old Railway Station (the Sultan Abdul Samad Building) and the Royal Selangor Clubhouse. Exploring these parts of this beautiful city will give you a real flavour of the culture.
Day 3 - Kuala Lumpur - Cameron Highlands (4 hours)
Located at 1542 metres above sea level, the scenic area with blissfully a blissfully cool climate is renowned for its tea plantations. On the way, you’ll stop off at the Hindu cave temple of Batu caves. This pilgrimage site draws Hindus from all over the world, and hosts the annual religious festival Thaipusam. There are 272 steps leading down to the caves, where temples and shrines are housed. The caves are protected by a magnificent 42.7 metre high statue of Lord Muruga that is fashioned in bronze. In the grounds there is plenty of opportunity to buy souvenirs and refreshments.
As you head further towards the delightful landscape of the Cameron Highlands, you’ll visit a basket weaving cottage industry, the striking Lata Iskandar Waterfalls and a native settlement. Once you hit the Cameron Highlands, you’ll be spellbound by the stunning natural scenery and crisp clear air quality. You’ll explore a tea plantation, a tea factory, a market place and butterfly farm.
Day 4 - Cameron Highlands - Mt. Brinchang Tour
You’ll be taking a 4-wheel drive up to Gunung or Mount Brinchang which is the most accessible peak of the Cameron Highlands. After taking a moment to enjoy the exquisite panoramic mountain views, you’ll walk through the verdant depths of the rainforests. Back into the jeep to the most stunning tea plantation, the Sungei Palas Boh estate. It is the best known and largest plantation in the area. You’ll be given a brief tour, before a refreshing tea break offering the freshest tea. You’ll visit some farm land where flowers and vegetables are produced before continuing onwards to a small market which supplies local produce.
Day 5 - Cameron Highlands - Belum Rainforest (4.30 hours)
The first stop is the Sam Poh Tong cave temple, before photo stops of the Royal Town of Kuala Kangsar, looking at the Ubudiah Mosque, Iskandariah Palace and Istana Kenangan. You’ll then journey on to the Kuala Sepetang mangrove forest. Not only is the forest exceptionally beautiful, but it also serves an ecological purpose as it prevents coastal erosion. Explore this fascinating area, including a charcoal kiln (much of the nation’s mangrove charcoal is produced in the forests). You’ll check in at the Belum Rainforest Resort Hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening using its facilities.
Day 6 - Belum Rainforest - Lake Temenggor Tour
You’ll take a boat ride to the aboriginal villages, where you will meet the ’Oran Asli’ people (literally means ‘the Original People’) of the Jahai and Temiar tribes. Trekking for the jungle in search of the Rafflesia (the world’s largest flower), you will enjoy a packed picnic lunch and the magnificent sight of the waterfall in the oldest tropical rainforest in the world (130 million years old). You will then return to the resort, and are free to spend the day as you choose. Try a spot of fishing, or simply relax in the beautiful natural surroundings of the hotel.
Day 7 - Belum Rainforest - Penang - Penang City Tour (3 hours)
Penang is known as the “Pearl of the Orient” and certainly lives up to its name. The 13.5 kilometre Penang bridge which connects the island to the mainland is one of the longest bridges in the world, and facilitates some beautiful views of the island. A City, Culture and Heritage tour of Georgetown is on offer upon arrival. Georgetown was named an UNESCO site in 2008. The exquisite sites include the 3rd longest reclining Buddha statue in the world and Kek Lok Si Temple (the Temple of 1000 Buddha). You will visit Fort Cornwallis, the site where Captain Francis Light landed to start the first British colonies in Penang in 1786. You will experience the wonder of the water villages at The Clan Jetties at Weld Quay, before visiting “The Street of Harmoney” Pitt Street where mosques, churches, Chinese temples and Hindu temples all co-exist harmoniously. The final stop on the tour is the Khoo Kong Si clan’s house, delight in the intricacies of architecture before spending the rest of the day at leisure. The night will be spent in Penang.
Day 8 - Free at Leisure
You can choose to go on an optional excursion, or to explore more of the exotic island on your own or with other members of your party. The night will be spent in Penang.
Day 9 - Penang - to Kuala Lumpur (by flight)
Spend the day packing, relaxing and bidding farewell to Malaysia before taking the flight back to Kuala Lumpur and then onwards to home. You can be sure that the rich lush rainforest terrain, exquisite architecture and diversity of culture will be with you for some time to follow.

The average group size is 12 but the numbers vary depending on time of the year and destination.
What is the ratio of men to women?
We do not manage the proportion of women to men on our solo holidays. The ratio varies, but is usually around three women to each man.
How do I connect with other singles going on holiday?
Once you have booked your holiday, you can register to our site by using your booking reference number to join our on line community of single travellers. Never be bored or stressed in the airport again! Find your new friends before you travel with our email exchange service and online community. Perhaps to meet before you travel at an airport lounge, generally get to know your fellow travellers before to go on holiday or just to chat and share experiences.
Are you a dating agency?
No, we do not design our holiday packages to have any aspect of introduction or dating services. We offer holidays purely for single travellers who want to go it alone but do not want to spend their holiday on their own. Good friends do certainly result from our holidays. Although individuals have met and become a couple as a result of our holidays this is not an intention of Solitair.
First time Traveller?

Will I be left on my own?
Only if you choose to be. Our hosts are at hand to greet you at the airport at your holiday destination and organise your ice breaker get together. On all our singles holidays we arrange meals together, offer advice on excursions and answer any questions. Of course there will be plenty of time and space for you to be alone whenever you choose.
When will I meet my Solitair Representative?
Your Solitair representative will meet you either at your resort or at your destination airport.Your representative will be available during your holiday to ensure everything runs smoothly and add that reassuring personal touch. Our friendly hosts are specially selected from the respective countries, as our experience has shown that their local knowledge and skills will add value to your holiday and also we are committed in supporting local tourism.

What is smart price?
Smart price is an early booking discount and to take advantage of smart price you should book early and pay in full at the time of booking.
How much deposit is required to book the holiday?
You can secure your booking by paying £100 deposit for UK holidays, £200 for European holidays & £500 for Worldwide holidays anytime up to 10 weeks prior to departure.
How do I know if my booking has been confirmed?
When booking a holiday on-line or over phone, you will receive a confirmation in 24 hours with a booking reference by e mail. Please print the page or write down the booking reference number when you receive it. You will also receive an e-mail confirming the receipt of your payment.
When do I have to pay for my holiday in full?
The balance is required no later than 10 weeks before departure. If you are due to travel within 10 weeks of making the booking, payment is required in full when you book your holiday.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment of your holiday can be made by Debit or Credit card over the phone or online. No surcharge is levied on Credit cards, Debit cards, Delta, Visa Debit, Master Debit, Solo and Electron cards
If I have a special request?
If you have a special request this must be made at the time of booking over the telephone or online booking. Please be advised certain request are subject to supplement for e.g: Pre bookable seats, Extra legroom seats, Pool / Sea view rooms. Special dietary request must be notified at the time of booking and vegetarian diet, gluten free diet can be catered on all our holidays. All special request must be notified at the time of booking and appropriate supplement if applicable must be paid to guarantee the service.
Will you send me a reminder when I have to pay the balance?
We do not issue reminders for the balance. Your holiday confirmation advice you the date for balance payment and serves as your final invoice.
Can I fly from my local airport?
To make your travel easier, we endeavour if available to offer direct flights to a selection of our destinations at a supplement. Or we can arrange regional connection to major airports.
When will I receive my tickets?
Your Electronic tickets and final travel details will be issued approximately 7-10 days prior to departure.

If there is a mistake in my confirmation, what should I do?
Telephone 0844 414 4010 quoting your booking reference number immediately on receipt of email invoice. Once confirmed and invoiced, any changes by you to your details or holiday arrangements will incur an administration fee of £50.
Can I cancel my holiday?
Yes you can. Please advise us by telephone immediately and also in writing. If you cancel you will be liable to pay cancellation fees detailed in our Booking Conditions.
Do I have to share a bedroom?
No, we recognise that people have the right to travel without the burden of additional supplement costs, which is why Solitair make no single supplement charges and we do not ask or expect you to share a room with one of your companions unless you decide to.
Do you charge a single room supplement?
No. Our prices are based on single occupnacy.
What is Share & Save option
Certain holidays we offer Share & Save option with same gender and similar age group to reduce the cost of the holiday.
Can two single friends travel together?
Although the vast majority of our customers travel alone, some people who have recently become alone or solo and are not ready to go alone do travel with a friend.
Can Solitair organise my car parking and overnight stay at the airport?
Yes just give us a call and we will be pleased to assist you with your arrangements.
Can I pre-book my seats on the aircraft?
Yes, you can pre book your seats on the aircraft for a supplement, please advise at the time of booking.
When are flight times confirmed?
If you contact our Customer Services approximately 7 – 10 days before the departure date, we should be able to confirm final flight times.
Why do you need my insurance and next of kin/friends details?
If you have taken your own insurance we ask for details so that in the event of an emergency, we can deal with any problems. Also to assist you if required to contact your next of kin or friend.
