The word 'gulet' probably derives from the French goulette, or schooner. These two-masted wooden vessels, usually made from local pine, were long used for transport and fishing along the southern coasts of Turkey. Typically designed with a sharp bow, broad beam and rounded aft, these days they are designed and fitted with comfort and not trade in mind.

All cabins have their own en suite bathroom with a pull-out shower hose attached at the basin. In the cabin you are provided with bath and hand towels, linen and a blanket. The living areas for a Gulet cruise consist of an indoor saloon, and aft deck for dining and lounging in the shade of a sun awning and a forward deck with sun beds for bathing. All yachts have an honesty bar where you will buy all your alcoholic and soft drinks for reasonable prices, lounge/ dining area, sun deck and sun beds.

The rear deck of the Gulet is the lounge and dining area where you will be served freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner meals, including grilled meats, fish dishes, salads and fruits and Turkish specialties. All meals are surprisingly good, healthy and nutritious. Dinner on the aft deck is usually the highlight of the day: a long leisurely meal sitting under the stars and listening to the water lapping at the hull of the Gulet.

Gulet cruises are excellent water sports platforms with windsurf, fishing and snorkelling equipment, canoe for your pleasure. If snorkelling is one of your favourite pastimes, we suggest you pack your own set of gear, then you won’t need to adjust the mask size every time you wish to explore the depths. There are plenty of opportunities for swimming, snorkelling, and more active water sports, like windsurfing.
