Day 1
Transfer from the airport to The Ship Inn Hotel. Your Solitair representaive will arrange your welcome icebreaker get together at the Ship Inn Hotel in Kyrenia giving you the opportunity to get to know your fellow walkers!
Day 2: Bellapais & Kyrenia walk
Start the week with by exploring the 13th century Bellapais Monastery Village is located at the foot of the Five Finger Mountain Range with panoramic views of Kyrenia Town and its new harbour. From here we walkthrough Bellapais Village to typical Cypriot village of Ozanköy (approx 5 km). Our next stop Kyrenia Castle lies at the entrance to the town's famous harbour and stands majestic guard over the port.The castle is also home to the famous shipwreck museum where you can view the wreckage of an ancient ship.
Day 3: Five Finger Mountain Walk
After breakfast we set off to The Kyrenia Mountains, known as the Five Finger Mountains, that lies along the North Cyprus coastline. A delicious picnic lunch under pine trees will help us refuel en route. (approx.16 km).
Day 4: Guzelyurt
A chance to see the west coastline of Cyprus and fabulous views of Mesaria plain.Then onto Güzelyurt city with its beautiful Greek Orthodox church,before lunch at a typical restaurant by the sea.Finalize with a breathtaking drive to Soli city and discover the Persian Vouni Palace.
Day 5: Historical Nicosia Walk
The city’s origins date back to the Heliolithic Age. From antiquity and until the first centuries AD, it was known as Ledra. The historical Old Town lies within massive 16th century Venetian Walls, and is home to important museums, Byzantine churches, medieval and neoclassical buildings, all standing along picturesque narrow roads that traverse the town’s fascinating old quarters.
Nicosia remains the last divided capital in Europe, with the ‘Green Line’ splitting its heart in two.
Day 6: Kantara Castle
To complete the week we head to Kantara Castle where Richard the Lionheart captured last king of Cyprus.Walk(approx.14 km) to İncirli Cave,with its stalactites and stalagmites.
Day 7: Traditional Cyprus Night
Traditional Cyprus Night – Join us for a special night in Cypriot Style! Enjoy traditional live Cypriot music & witness a stunning display of belly dancing. Dinner is traditional meze and fish or meat kebab. A great night not to be missed…!
Day 8: Transfer to the airport
It is time to say good-bye.Transfer to the airport.
