Bulgaria’s culture expands influences from neighbouring Greece, Turkey, Romania, Serbia and Macedonia as well as ancient rules - leading to a magnificent view of a modern Eastern European folklore.
Yet when you’ve unearthed the tales and traditions of colourful cities, Bulgaria offers a coastline bursting with sunbathing temptation and exciting possibilities. Set within picturesque fishing villages and small ports, you’ll find more to this singles holiday than your ordinary escape.
Dance, dine and discover the rich heritage - Single holidays to Bulgaria open a world of adventure and mystery.
Our Resort – Nessebar
A startling town reaching out into the Black Sea on the Eastern coast of Bulgaria, Nessebar brings the best out of your singles holiday.
Golden blankets of sand stretch out into an age-old town, where wood-cladded houses line cobbled streets and famous churches stand elegantly in the sun. Through the rules of the Thracians, Romans, Byzantine Empire, Ottomans and todays modern society, Nessebar has inhabited a subtle quality with amazing history.
Enjoy days in the colour of the Old Quarter gift shops, passing by museums of distinct character while ancient fortifications, churches and early basilicas make your photo gallery quite special. More structures like the wooden windmill begin your stay in Bulgaria with something uniquely fascinating.
Nessebar eases single travellers into a relaxing beach atmosphere for those days spent basking in the warm air, dining at traditional ‘Mehenas’ and letting your mind run free. A little further north, Nessebar merges with the bustling ‘Sunny Beach’ scene for an experience further into the evening.
Attention grabbing Nessebar, a superb destination to make memorable singles holidays this year.
This four star hotel establishes itself on the promenade, facing toward nearby Sunny Beach, and minutes walking distance from Nessebar’s Old Town. Festa Panorama offers great value and service, helpful staff and an ideal location to embark on your days in Nessebar town or at the beach.
238 modern rooms welcome guests with their own bathroom (includes hairdryer, fitted shower or bath), air-conditioning and a balcony. Rooms are well presented, cleaned and maintained by the staff and serve a spacious comfortability to relax in. Festa Panorama has equipped each room with television and phone as well as a mini bar.
The Festa Panorama Hotel includes the following on-site facilities: Reception (with safety box option), Buffet menu / A la carte Restaurant, Indoor and an Outdoor Swimming Pool with Bar, Lobby Bar, Spa facilities, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Fitness area, traditional Turkish Bath and Massages, Night Club, Table Tennis and a Volleyball Court.
Floating Black Sea waters touch the entire Eastern coast of Bulgaria where popular beaches radiate the summer air. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, Nessebar’s beautiful sandy peninsula will have you in a soothing repose. Wander across to Sunny Beach and enjoy the same incredible scenery but with everything turned up just a notch. Evenings at Sunny Beach are great for some light hearted fun with new friends.
Walking the Cobbled Roads
Three thousand years of historic interplay between leaders and cultural influence lines every street with architectural splendour. Leisurely stroll narrow paths into the Old Quarter and rest your eyes on traditional Nessebar houses, medieval churches and more structures with ancient character.
Palace of Euxinograd
Open to the public and currently a government used building, Euxinograd is a spectacular example of liberated Bulgaria’s architectural bloom that has influences from French chateaux's of the eighteenth century. Accompanying the palace is a beautiful park as well as landscaped gardens at it’s entrance. Lucky visitors may get the chance to see the annual production of opera on stage in the gardens, Operosa, a grand experience. Euxinograd houses an established wine cellar over two floors, producing several varieties of white wine and brandy. The produce is considered the absolute finest quality throughout Bulgaria.
The heartbeat of Bulgaria is well worth the short trip over and adds a kick to your experience. Sofia is the capital and centre of modern day attractions such as the Rila Monastery, Pirin National Park and Staroto Gradishte remains. The essence of Sofia comes from an ancient town with cobbled streets, varied languages, dozens of monuments and a laid back atmosphere in which the locals welcome its visitors. The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is an image of Sofia and should not be missed. Other notable places include Vitosha Mountain, Sofia Zoo and the National Art Gallery.
Traditionally believed to be founded by the hermit St. Ivan of Rila, this tenth century structure holds a special importance to the country and its capital. It is a masterpiece of Bulgarian style architecture, being declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well as a national historical monument in the seventies. Colourful frescoes, a stunning courtyard and more impressive building techniques will occupy your mind for quite some time.
Bankso is another World Heritage Site, where activities like climbing, walking and rafting are extraordinary in the winter. If you’re lucky enough to have organised a trip over to the West side of Bulgaria, make time for this mountain resort. The statues of significant Bansko born poet, Nikola Vaptsarov, and monk from the nineteenth century, Neofit Rilski are held in high regard to visit, as well as a decorated church by the name of St. Trinity.
Owing to the influence of surrounding countries and its rulers through history, as well as a moderately warm climate, Bulgarian food is diverse and a real refreshing treat. Yoghurt is of such a high quality you’re unlikely to taste anything similar outside of Bulgaria. Fresh salads come with every meal where you will be entertained with plenty stuffed vegetables, grilled meats, appetising soups and light deserts. A few classic dishes include the tarator soup (cucumber, walnuts, yoghurt), shishkebab, vine leaves, kavarma (a meaty stew), moussaka and halva for dessert. Delicious!
